King Ranch consists of about 825,000 acres. These acres are in four major parcels of land, only two of which touch each other. The others are several miles distant.
If the ranch were in a single square-shaped parcel, the ranch would be about 35.9 miles on each edge.
That's about the distance from Rockport 35 RV Park to Corpus Christi!
Or, as we'd say in Iowa, that's one big field! (As a means of comparison, 50 years ago the typical Iowa farm was 1/4 mile wide and 1 mile long, or 1/2 mile square, and contained 160 acres.)
